(Exactly Like) Starting Over

So I’m writing again.

It’s been a while. I’ve been busy being responsible— things to do, family to care for, bills to pay—but it’s time to get back on the horse proper.

I’m also editing. I’ve been taking courses and working on the side as a freelance editor. It’s good, because working with words, in any way, has always felt right.

When I launched JasonWard.ca in 2002, it was so I could have an online portfolio for my writing and editing work. Later, it also served as a place where visitors could check out radio shows from my days as a broadcaster. Most recently, this site has served as the home of my personal business.

Until I realized I need a change.

I have a day job that keeps me afloat, but I want to do more. Also, I want to re-invent and re-prioritize my professional life around writing and editing. As I said earlier, working with words, in any way, has always felt right.

Thus, time to start over.

I’ll be doing regular updates, including occasional bits of writing and editing advice, plus some fun posts taking a look at the world through my particularly skewed perspective.

More than anything, I realized I need a place where I could have fun. And here we are.

It’s supposed to be fun, right?

Let’s have some.
